MS Exchange 2003 Messaging/Collaboration Design, Migration and Support
CLIENT BACKGROUND: An Underwriting Management Firm, serving the insurance needs of behavioral healthcare and social service providers, needed to improve the efficiency of their businesses e-mail communication, security and privacy.
PROBLEM: The Client was running Exchange 5.5 on a Windows NT 4.0 server. They needed a more robust messaging and collaboration solution to meet the demands of their local and remote end users. They were concerned about security, reliability and performance and needed a solution that would be administered and deployed with ease.
SOLUTION: After determining the clients current and future needs, Panurgy provided a robust solution. Panurgy engineers designed an Exchange 2003 Server solution, running on an HP Proliant Windows 2003 server. Performance and reliability as well as security would now be addressed with the implementation of Panurgy designed solution.
During implementation, Panurgy migrated the existing Exchange 5.5 resources to Exchange 2003 for a quick and seamless cutover for the end-users. The Client now use MS Office Outlook 2003 locally and remotely via Panurgy-managed VPN connection, as well as Outlook Web Access, ensuring a secure environment.
