Microsoft Outlook
Tip

File or archive your
e-mail on your own computer
Do you receive nagging messages from
your system administrator telling you that you're keeping too much
e-mail on the server? Are you perplexed every time Outlook tells you
it's ready to archive your e-mail? Are you mystified by Personal
Folders?

If you answered Yes to any of these
questions, or if you're just curious about how filing and archiving
can help you get control of your e-mail, this course is for
you.
◘ Stop storing so much stuff on
the server. Instead, move it to Outlook personal storage files
called PSTs that you keep on your own computer.
◘ Choose whether to move e-mail to
Archive Folders or to Personal Folders, and whether to move it
automatically or manually.
◘ Customize folder names and
settings to meet your personal needs and preferences.

Stop
Bandwidth Loss
Filtering Techniques Block
Inappropriate Content
If checking your e-mail means
deleting dozens of offers for baldness cures, weight-loss
products and vacation time-shares, you already know how
annoying bulk e-mail advertising can be. What you may not know
is that this type of e-mail, also known as spam, can actually
end up costing your business money.
How It Happens
When spam floods your employees’
e-mail accounts, it sucks up costly bandwidth that should be
devoted to business communication. It also makes workers less
productive by forcing them to spend time sifting through and
deleting dozens of junk messages. (Some statistics indicate
that employees spend about 15 hours a year deleting e-mail. In
a 50-employee company, that adds up to 750 hours, or 93
workdays, over the course of a year.) Worse, it may cause
workers to miss or accidentally discard important messages in
the process.

SECURITY BEST
PRACTICE – MANAGE YOUR DESKTOPS FROM YOUR
SERVER
Just when you think you've
followed all the rules to safeguard your business assets
against viruses and hackers and burglars, along comes an
employee with a "better" idea. Only it's not, and it could
unravel all of the smart security moves you have implemented
so far.
As you know, it
takes a major commitment to properly safeguard your business
from external threats. If you've started that process by
updating your software and virus protection and installing a
firewall, you've already made a significant investment of
time, effort and money.
Unfortunately, a
lack of stringent administrative procedures can unwittingly
sabotage that security investment, reversing the changes
you've made or inadvertently introducing new risks. Users may
not stay current on updates and patches, they may download
unauthorized and potentially harmful software and they may not
be vigilant about unauthorized access to data on their
computers.

Save Your
Pennies - They Add Up to Big Bucks

Saving a penny may not be a big deal to you but our
customers are learning quickly that a penny saved can add up to big
dollars! Most organizations today are over paying for their phone
service – local, long distance and internet lines. An average phone
bill of $2,000 at a new negotiated rate might save you up to $700 a
month, maybe more! That comes to a savings of $8,400 a year. That is
a lot of pennies.
Most company's phone service plans are not reviewed as
often as they should be. Huge savings could be had by your
organization just by reviewing your current plan and making sure you
have the lowest rates. There is no investment for new equipment, it
is just a matter of having an authorized provider review your
current bills and determine if your carrier is giving you the latest
rates and benefits.
Panurgy, as an authorized provider has saved its
clients more then a few pennies. Call us today and we can determine
whether you can save those pennies too – they do add up.
